Data we collect
- Contact details you submit (name, email, message, optional engagement fields)
- Technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited when analytics cookies are accepted
- Engagement files you send (custody extracts, registers) under a separate engagement — handled as confidential client material
We do not ask for private keys, seed phrases, or passwords.

- Meeting legal and accounting obligations
Legal bases
Where the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) of Hong Kong applies, we process data for contractual necessity, legitimate interests in operating the desk, and consent where you accept optional analytics cookies.
Retention
Enquiry messages are kept up to 24 months unless a related engagement continues. Engagement working papers follow the retention period in the engagement letter (typically 7 years for audit-related packs). Analytics data, if enabled, is retained according to the tool’s settings, usually 14 months or less.
Your rights
Subject to Hong Kong law, you may request access to and correction of your personal data, and raise questions about our practices. Email contact@dev-environment.digital. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong.
International transfers
If tools or contractors process data outside Hong Kong, we take contractual and practical steps appropriate to the transfer. Client custody materials are not transferred abroad without prior agreement.
